What is Fuel Injection?

When I put gas in my car am I not injecting fuel into it? It is a little more complicated than that. A fuel pump sends the gas to the engine, and it is then injected into the inlet manifold by an injector. Clear as mud…right? A.J.’s Import Garage is a fuel injection specialist. They will vacuum the lines to make sure you keep running smoothly along the byways of Topeka.

The fuel injectors are one of two types, depending on the injection system. One uses continuous injection. In this case, fuel is led into the inlet port while the engine is running. Then there is timed injection where the fuel is delivered in consistent bursts. Both may be controlled electronically or mechanically.

You do NOT need to understand fuel injection! You simple need to know where to find A.J.’s Import Garage. They are located at 501 S.W. Harrison in Topeka, KS. Their mechanics will keep you on the road running smoothly. Call (785) 233-1000 for an appointment and visit ajsimportgarage.com online.

Strut Your Stuff.

You hear it all the time…make sure you have your shocks and struts checked. While the terms shocks and struts are usually referred to interchangeably, they really are separate components with different functions. A.J.’s Import Garage of Topeka, KS thinks it is important to know the difference.

Here is a quick tutorial. Shock absorbers are hydraulic components that, when working properly, will minimize movement generated by your vehicle’s springs. Struts, on the other hand, are the components of some vehicles’ steering and suspension systems. They usually consist of a spring as well as a shock absorber.

We don’t know if that clears it up for you, but it is important that the shocks and struts of your import car are working properly. Call A.J.’s Import Garage if you suspect anything may be wrong with them. They are located at 501 S.W. Harrison in Topeka. Call for an appointment at (785) 233-1000. The Condenser is a Vital Part of your Car’s Ability to Cool.

You should know that a vital component of your vehicle’s cool air system is the air-conditioning condenser. The car’s air conditioning condenser is a radiator positioned between the car’s grille and the radiator that is next to the motor. The gaseous refrigerant sheds heat and returns it to a liquid state. A.J.’s Import Garage fixes faulty condensers in the Topeka area.

If your air conditioning condenser has gone bad you should notice it quickly. It will become uncomfortably warmer and/or your vehicle windows will be foggy. If refrigerant leaks, the air conditioner will not emit much cold air, if any at all.

It may be time for the mechanics at A.J.’s Import Garage to look for signs of damage or corrosion and doing an external cleaning or internal flush, if needed, to maintain cooling performance. Why not give A.J.’s Import Garage a call for an appointment at 501 S.W. Harrison in Topeka. For more about A.J.’s visit ajsimportgarage.com.
