How many years have we gone right from Winter to Summer in
Topeka? I mean, what happened to 3
months of spring? One of these days,
sooner than later, you will reach for the A/C on your dashboard. Will it work as well as it did last
August? Here is a little information
about your vehicle’s air conditioning system.
The A/C is a closed system, which comprises a low and a high
pressure side. At the high-pressure side
the coolant is operated by an engine compressor. At the low-pressure side, the high pressure
cooling liquid passes through an expansion valve and comes to the
evaporator. The evaporator, which is
located somewhere behind the dashboard, cools the surrounding air.
Those are the very basics.
To make sure that your vehicle’s air conditioner works the first time
(and EVERY time) you turn it on this upcoming summer stop by A.J.’s Import
Garage. Whether your car is imported or
domestic A.J.’s will make sure that the a/c is performing properly. They are located at 501 S.W. Harrison. Call ahead for an appointment at (785)
233-1000.
