A Volkswagen in Winter.

We are in the grips of another Western Kansas winter and your VW Diesel will need some TLC to navigate through the season.  It’s a good time to review some basic winter starting tips to help make our mornings less stressful.  Some of these tips seem obvious to seasoned owners, but to someone new to diesel Volkswagens there may be things that they haven’t thought of yet.

Here are some of them –

1.  Have the battery checked and load tested.
2.  Terminals should also be checked for corrosion.
3.  Turn off accessories when you don’t need them.
4.  Use a thinner oil.
5.  Have the fuel system serviced.

There are others, of course.  That is why A.J.’s Import Garage is here.  For many years they have been servicing and maintaining imports including Volkswagen Diesels.  The Topeka area has come to count on them for service of any and all of their vehicles.  Call ahead for an appointment at their location 501 S.W. Harrison.  That number is (785) 233-1000.
